Ginsberg is best known for his epic poem "Howl", in which he celebrated his fellow "angel-headed hipsters" and harshly denounced what he saw as the destructive forces of capitalism and conformity in the United States. Why must you use this over-used meme and perpetuate it? - so many other beautiful Ginsberg lines one could quote, one could spotlight.

And while I'm being a stickler for accuracy (as I'm sure Ginsberg himself would be), did he actually say "Whoever controls the media, images, control the mind"?

Thanks so much for 'illuminating' this issue, I wasn't aware that it was a point of contention... but I also happen to have a copy of that old writer's digest in my 'beat trunk', though I never would have put all that together.
